Cunning Acts of Engineering
Normally I build things opposed to buying them. Some things you can only build. I suppose I could have paid someone to build the things like the pavilions but where is the fun in that. There's something to be said about being out in the fresh air sweating like a maniac and
hitting your girlfriend square in the eye with a 3' level.
I've spent thousands of hours reading up on all the things I do on the reserve. Take even the
simplest thing like building a bird box. Did you know that the size of the hole and how many inches it is dictates what types of birds will nest there? Stupid stuff like that always aims to take you down. Take it from me, spend an hour or two reading up on whatever you're going to be doing.
Nearly everything on the reserve has been built with the worlds most perfect saw, the
Makita LS1013 .
The Makita LS1013 saw is so fine I'd probably trade my girlfriend in on it if I had to.
Located below are links to pages that have pictures of some of the projects I've done. Feel free to email me if you have any questions or would like more info.
