The Old Coal Mine
The Old Coal Mine is just that. Way back during the depression the owners of
yester years mined coal out of the hillside and sold it to the surrounding farms
for money. The mine has since been sealed at the entrance and the cavern pretty
much filled in. It's a nice place to make your way back to, and one that a
picture doesn't do justice.Near The Old Coal Mine's entrance is the Fountain
Of Youth, a natural spring that helps fill the pond. Some of the water from the
Fountain of Youth flows into the pond and some flows into a hole in the ground
to disappear forever.
