Coal Mine Pass

Picture of Coal Mine Pass at Journey Wildlife Reserve

In one of humanities most cunning acts of engineering, I single handedly spanned an  unthinkable gap: 16 whole feet.

Water exiting the entrance of The Old Coal Mine and water from the Fountain of Youth combines and provides water to the pond to keep it full. This water, which some say is deeper than the deepest oceans, is ten feet wide and sometimes reaches a depth of 1 1/2  feet deep. This untamed watercourse and the bridge to cross it make up what is known as Coal Mine Pass.
