The "Truck"

My truck is a 1986 Ford F250 with a 7.5 liter 460 engine with a Holly 4BBL carb. It has a 4" lift and 35" all-terrain tires and has a GVWR of 18,500LBS. If you were a guy you probably just melted.. If you were a girl you're probably sitting there with a blank stare on your face. It's ok.
I don't know what I'd do without my truck. It takes me everywhere I need to go. It crosses any ditch/ravine I have and has never got stuck in the mud. AND MAN IS IT FUN IN THE MUD GOING UP HILL. It's funny to go 4 wheeling with Geneva. She gets so stressed out thinking we're gonna get stuck.
It's a fun truck. I love working on it because you can sit in the engine compartment. Lots of room unlike
today's cars. It's fun watching Geneva drive it around. She gets so excited especially when she's 4 wheeling. I think the
most fun time I had is when I punched it on a mud bog and Geneva and I had our windows down. A lesson learn - the truck slings mud, close windows.
The gas mileage it gets is what's amazing. It gets a whopping 7.5 miles to the gallon on the highway and 5 miles to the gallon in the city. Needless to say it's a work truck only. In the summers it spends it's life on the land. It spends the winter at home with me. It has a locked rear-end so while normal 4X4 trucks have one front tire that spins and one back tire that spins my truck has one front tire that spins and both back tires spin all the time. This gives me great traction in the winter.
I used to have a sign in the rear window that read, "Real 4X4" trying to taunt all the yuppy SUV's. The thing about yuppy SUV's is that these yuppy guys buy the biggest SUV they can get yet it has a 4 cylinder engine and 4
inches of ground clearance. I mean what the heck do they expect to do with a 8,000 pound monster that can't even make it over a curb? It's funny to see them go "Off-road" onto their front lawn.
